Research interests and expertise
He leads the Cellular & Molecular Immunology Team (CMIT) at KRI. His research focuses on advancing our understanding of fundamental immunobiology and translating this knowledge into therapeutic strategies for immune-related diseases, including cancer, autoimmunity and immunodeficiencies.
His leadership approach emphasises scientific curiosity, critical thinking and independence. He encourages team members to challenge existing ideas, take ownership of their research and develop as independent scientists, while fostering open scientific discussion, collaboration and shared responsibility for the team's research goals.
He has secured competitive funding to support both immunotherapy research and the development of advanced biomedical research infrastructure at KRI.
