Research interests and expertise

His research background is in T-cell biology, with particular expertise in T-cell activation, differentiation, and exhaustion. During his PhD, he investigated the mechanisms underlying CD8+ T-cell exhaustion and reinvigoration in chronic viral infection.

Building on this expertise, his current research focuses on tumour immunology and the optimisation of adoptive T-cell therapies, with a particular interest in overcoming T-cell dysfunction to enhance anti-tumour immune responses.
