Cookie Policy

Cookies and similar technologies on this website

This policy lists the cookies and comparable technologies this website uses, what each one is for, how long it stays on your device, and how you can change or remove your choices.

Draft — for review before publishing

This text has been prepared for the institute to review. Items marked in square brackets still need the client's own details, and the wording should be checked by the institute's legal adviser or data protection officer before the page goes live.

01What this covers

"Cookies" is used here as shorthand for any small item a website stores in your browser — including cookies themselves and browser local storage. A necessary item is one the site needs to work or to keep itself secure. Every other category is optional and is only switched on by a positive choice from you.

This website sets no advertising cookies and, by default, no analytics cookies. It does not follow you between websites.

02How this site uses them

We group technologies into three categories:

CategoryWhat it meansDefault
NecessaryRemembers your cookie choice so we do not ask on every visit, and supports form protection.Always active
Usage measurementAnonymous statistics about which pages are read. Reserved for a privacy-friendly analytics tool that is not installed today.Off until you accept
MarketingAdvertising and remarketing tags. Not used today; nothing is added if you accept.Off until you accept

03What is actually stored

This is the complete list for the site as it stands today. If a tool is added later, this table is updated before it goes live.

NameTypePurposeLifetime
kri_cookie_consent_v1Browser local storage (not a cookie)Records which optional categories you accepted, so the notice is not shown again.6 months, then we ask again
(no cookies set by this site)—The pages themselves do not place cookies on your device.—

Your choice is stored only on the device and browser you used. Clearing your browser storage removes it, and we will ask again on your next visit.

04Third-party services

The Contact page shows a location map using OpenStreetMap, so your browser loads map tiles from openstreetmap.org. That request makes your IP address visible to them; they publish their own notice at https://openstreetmap.org/privacy. For anonymous use of the map embed, OpenStreetMap does not set tracking cookies.

The website is delivered and backed up by a hosting platform which may record standard technical logs; the Privacy Policy explains how those are treated. Email sent from the enquiry form is transmitted through SMTP2GO, whose own policy is at https://www.smtp2go.com/security/.

Embedded content from other services (video players, calendars, social feeds) would introduce further cookies. None is used on this site today. [CONFIRM NO EMBEDS ARE ADDED BEFORE PUBLISHING]

05Managing your choices

  • Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to reopen the panel and change your mind — your choice is never permanent.
  • Most browsers let you block or delete cookies for particular sites; their help pages (for example https://www.aboutcookies.org) explain how.
  • Blocking the necessary local-storage item simply means the notice reappears each visit — nothing else breaks.

06Changes to this policy

When a new cookie, tracker or embedded service is introduced, this page is updated first and the date at the top changes. Material additions are re-presented to visitors through the consent panel rather than enabled quietly.
