Research interests and expertise

Her research focuses on translational cancer immunology and the development of adoptive cellular immunotherapies for both solid and haematological malignancies. Her expertise includes chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy, tumour immunology, immune checkpoint modulation, multiparameter flow cytometry and preclinical mouse models of cancer.

She is particularly interested in developing novel cellular therapies and combination immunotherapy strategies to overcome the immunosuppressive tumour microenvironment and improve treatment outcomes for patients with cancer.

Her research has also received recognition through the European Commission's Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Seal of Excellence, with subsequent funding through the Research and Innovation Foundation's Horizon Europe - 2nd Opportunity - MSCA programme.
