KRI Researcher Receives MSCA Seal of Excellence and Secures Research Funding

We are pleased to announce that Dr Charys Papagregoriou, Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Karaiskakio Research Institute (KRI), has received the European Commission's Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Seal of Excellence for her research proposal, recognising its high scientific quality following a competitive European evaluation.
Following this recognition, Dr Papagregoriou has secured research funding through the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation's Horizon Europe – 2nd Opportunity – MSCA programme.
The two-year project proposal, LME-ACT, will explore strategies to improve T-cell-based immunotherapies for acute myeloid leukaemia by addressing challenges posed by the tumour microenvironment.
The project will be hosted at KRI under the scientific supervision of Prof George Vassiliou.
