Karaiskakio Foundation and XM Group establish new CellThera Laboratory by XM

Karaiskakio Foundation and XM Group representatives signing the CellThera Laboratory by XM agreement

Karaiskakio Foundation and XM Group have entered into an agreement to establish the CellThera Laboratory by XM, a new specialised laboratory dedicated to supporting the development of cellular therapy capabilities in Cyprus.

The new laboratory will be established within the Karaiskakio Foundation's premises in Nicosia and will provide specialised infrastructure and automated closed-system technologies for the processing and handling of cells. Its operation is intended to be developed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements, supporting activities including cell processing, expansion, characterisation and storage.

The initiative represents an important investment in the infrastructure required to advance cellular therapies in Cyprus. By developing specialised capabilities for the preparation and handling of therapeutic cell products, the CellThera Laboratory by XM aims to contribute to the longer-term introduction and application of advanced cellular therapies for patients in Cyprus.

The project is expected to be completed within 24 months.

The establishment of the laboratory is made possible through the support of XM Group, strengthening the infrastructure available within the Karaiskakio Foundation and supporting its commitment to advancing biomedical research and translating scientific progress towards future clinical applications.
